In modern businesses, the right to privacy is one of the most important human rights. At Unis, d.o.o., we are aware of this and respect the privacy of our customers. Therefore, we handle their personal data responsibly, carefully, and in accordance with the applicable regulations in the Republic of Slovenia and the internal acts of Unis, d.o.o. Access to personal data is granted only to authorized employees and contractual processors, to the extent and for the purpose necessary to ensure the smooth execution of work processes, the provision of company services, and the fulfillment of rights and obligations arising from contractual relationships with the customer.

Unis, d.o.o., Marof 1, Gaberje, 9220 Lendava, (hereinafter: Unis), with a website at www.rt-art.si, represents a modern provider of various products exclusively derived from natural elements in the Slovenian market.

Unis, d.o.o. uses your personal data solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order (sending informational materials, offers, invoices, everything related to the order) and other communications necessary for the order, in accordance with the purposes for which you have given your consent.

The data collected during purchases will not be shared with third parties. The customer can request at any time that the provider permanently or temporarily stop using their personal data and shopping data for the aforementioned purposes. During the management of personal data, the individual has the right to inspect and update their data in the database upon request. We commit that personal data obtained through the website will remain fully stored, protected, and processed by Unis, d.o.o. The website administrator will handle all acquired personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your data is adequately protected against loss, destruction, forgery, manipulation, and unauthorized access or disclosure by third parties.

Purposes of Processing Personal Data and Legal Basis

Unis processes customer personal data within the framework and for the purpose of executing contractual relationships. Based on a contractual legal basis, personal data is processed to the necessary extent for contract conclusion, during negotiations, after receiving an offer or inquiry from an individual, and in the phase of customer complaint handling. In case of online payments via rt-art.si, Unis ensures all necessary technological and organizational solutions for complete purchase security. The transfer of personal data provided during registration on the rt-art.si website and transaction data related to purchases is carried out securely using the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol. The data is encrypted and transmitted to Unis’ server in a protected form, preventing interception of personal data sent by the customer to the online store. The security of personal data during purchases is also ensured by complying with applicable legal obligations and recommendations from Slovenian and international consumer associations.

Unis processes personal data of individuals also based on a legal basis:

• the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Act for the purpose of transmitting personal data of individuals subject to reporting obligations to the Office for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing
• and based on other international treaties, EU regulations, and national laws that require Unis to transmit personal data of individuals to state authorities and other controllers in certain cases to fulfill their or their legal obligations or competencies.

Unis processes personal data based on legitimate interest for the purpose of reducing the risk of intrusions on the rt-art.si website (ensuring information security, reducing risks of unauthorized access to important business information, personal data, and information systems) and for the purpose of conducting personal data analysis to manage business and credit risks and optimize business decisions (protection of Unis’ economic interests), as well as for statistical processing aimed at preparing reports for management, where only anonymized data is included in the reports.

In certain cases, Unis requests its customers and other individuals to provide consent for the processing of their personal data to assess certain personal aspects related to the individual, particularly for analyzing their economic status, personal preferences, interests, and behavior (profiling), for the purpose of creating and presenting personalized offers of goods and services, including notifications or direct marketing, as well as for conducting market research. In these cases, the processing of personal data occurs within the scope permitted by the individual’s consent, the specified purpose, and the agreed communication channels, until the consent is revoked.

Unis may process the user’s location data, such as GPS coordinates (longitude, latitude) and IP settings (browser or app location), obtained from the user’s mobile device, to ensure proper operation and use of all functionalities in mobile and web applications. Unis processes location data in a form that cannot be linked to an identified or identifiable person, or based on prior consent from the user. When requesting consent, Unis informs the users about the possibility to refuse consent, the type of data that will be processed, the purpose and duration of such processing, and the possibility of sharing this location data with a third party for providing a value-added service. The user can manage their consent/withdraw consent regarding the use of location data during every network connection or communication transfer, either in the app itself or in the “location services” settings of the mobile device. However, this may disable functionalities that rely on such data, while other parts of the app, which are not related to location data, will still be available.

Processors of personal data and possible transfer of personal data to third countries

In addition to Unis (employees), personal data is processed on its behalf and for its account by processors such as companies that provide technical support for processing personal data, such as developers and maintainers of computer applications, websites, and information services, developers and implementers of software solutions, call centers, and processors engaged by Unis to provide services necessary for contract execution, such as decorators, arrangers, printers, courier services, sales point managers, external marketers, goods transporters to consumers’ addresses, meter readers, marketing, research, and analytics companies, external marketing agencies, and event organizers, as well as Unis representatives in concluding and executing orders and contracts, including debt collection and any legal procedures.

Some organizations or companies to which we may disclose your personal data as our processors are based outside the European Union, in countries that do not have laws in place to protect the right to privacy and data protection in the same way as in the European Union or Slovenia. In the event that your personal data is transferred to third countries (outside the EU and EEA), we will ensure the implementation of appropriate measures to safeguard the security of personal data and the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, in accordance with applicable national and EU regulations and this Privacy Policy. We will use the appropriate mechanisms, such as binding corporate rules, standard contractual clauses, etc., to ensure compliance.

Rights of individuals

With a written request sent to the address: Unis, d.o.o., Marof 1, Gaberje, 9220 Lendava, marked “for GDPR,” or to the email address info@rt-art.si, an individual can request access, supplementation, correction, blocking, or restriction of processing, deletion of personal data, or can object to the processing of data related to them and request data transfer.

An individual can revoke the consent given for the processing of personal data at any time, either temporarily or permanently, in whole or in part, by sending a written request to: Unis, d.o.o., Marof 1, Gaberje, 9220 Lendava, with the note “for GDPR,” or to the email address info@rt-art.si. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out based on the consent prior to its withdrawal.

An individual has the right to file a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia if they believe that their personal data is being stored or otherwise processed in violation of the applicable regulations governing personal data protection.

Retention periods of personal data

Unis will process personal data to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of processing and for as long as it is required to achieve the intended goal. In the case of personal data obtained based on consent, it will be processed until the consent is revoked, unless a retention period for the personal data is specified by law. In such cases, Unis will retain the data in accordance with the legal obligation.
